During operation, the flanges withstand the maximum load, ensuring the stable operation of pipeline assemblies and oil and gas equipment in the chemical, petrochemical and related industries under conditions of static and repeated static loads, high pressure, negative and high temperatures. Therefore, the requirements for the quality of the steel billet of flanges are increased, quality control is carried out at all stages: preparation of materials, manufacturing of semi-finished products, control of the chemical composition, heat treatment, control of metal continuity by ultrasonic flaw detection, as well as testing the hardness and mechanical properties of products in the central factory laboratory (TsZL ) Plant of ring blanks.

The main methods for obtaining a flange blank are:

stamping of flanges in closed dies;
forging on a backing ring (stamping);
centrifugal electroslag casting (TsEShL);
production from rolled rings, forgings;
plasma or flame cutting from a sheet.

The use of the above methods makes it possible to obtain high-quality blanks of flanges from carbon, alloy, heat-resistant and stainless steel grades:

weighing up to 2000 kg;
inner diameter from 150 mm to 2000 mm;
outside diameters from 240 mm to 2300 mm.
with quality control according to group IV GOST 8479-70, GOST 25054-81.
