A plug is a type of pipeline fittings designed to close the end holes in pipelines and manufacture containers; it is installed in systems to completely or temporarily stop the movement of transported products. The plug allows you to preserve the pipe section for a long time or to carry out periodic maintenance and repair work. It is also used when transporting pipes to avoid internal damage.
The ring blanks plant produces flanged and interflange (rotary) types of plugs. The material for the manufacture of plugs can be carbon and low-alloy, as well as alloy and stainless steel.
Flange plugs repeat the shape, design and types of flange sealing surfaces with the difference that the plugs do not have a central through hole. They are used when working with media with temperatures from -70 to +600 ° C. The possibility of repeated use of pipe parts is allowed, mounting and dismantling them, if necessary, to transfer to another pipe section. ATK 24.200.02-09 is the main regulatory standard.
Due to the design, wafer (rotary) plugs consist of two discs - a blind one and with a hole in the center, connected by a bridge. Such parts are installed in pipelines that require periodic maintenance, for example, pressure testing. Elements are made according to ATK 26-18-5-93 standards.
The plugs are highly durable, resistant to temperature deformations and corrosive environments.
