Steel plugs

Steel flange plug ATK 24.200.02-90 (blind flange) is a round disc with several holes, into which pins or bolts are inserted. Some types of pipe plugs perfectly tolerate temperatures up to 600 ° C when working with temporary or constant flows of working fluid at several ends of pipelines at once. Plugs are necessary when arranging containers for collecting working fluids supplied under high pressure.

Steel flanged plugs are used when carrying out repair work on pipelines, as well as instead of more complex and expensive shut-off valves (ball valves, gate valves, stop valves, etc.) in chemical, oil refining, petrochemical, gas, oil and other related industries for nominal pressure from 0.6 to 16.0 MPa and temperature from minus 70 to 600 ° С for the following types of equipment:

  • vessels and apparatus, boiler equipment;
  • process pipelines;
  • gas pipelines, oil pipelines;
  • thermal power plants.

Steel flange plugs can be made of carbon steel, alloy steel, as well as stainless steel from forging, centrifugal electroslag casting (TsEShL), plasma or gas cutting from a sheet.

The most widespread plugs are ATK 24.200.02-90, which have five versions of sealing surfaces:

  • with connecting and regular shoulder;
  • with a thorn;
  • for oval section gasket;
  • with a depression.

The warranty period for flange plugs is 24 months.

The design of the rotary steel plug according to ATK 26-18-5-93 consists of two flat discs, one of which has a through central hole (flange part), and the other is blind (obturator), connected by a special insert. This design allows the product to be operated with frequent, regular maintenance work. If it is required to carry out planned or unscheduled repairs, revision of the pipeline or replacement of its parts, the flange connection is disassembled and the plug is turned by its other part - a blind one. The flange bolts are tightened and the movement of media through the pipes is completely stopped.

Rotary steel plug ATK 26-18-5-93 is used in the gas, chemical, oil and gas and oil industries during the construction of steel process pipelines for nominal pressure from 1.6 to 16.0 MPa and temperature from minus 70 to 475 ° C. Rotary plugs create a reliable hermetic overlap of the end sections of pipelines, restrict the movement of liquid and gaseous media transported along them. A reliable shutoff makes it possible to cut off a part of the pipeline for maintenance and repair work. Rotary plugs are used when working with media that cause annual corrosion diffusion of no more than 0.4 mm, as well as metal corrosion cracking.

The ring blanks plant manufactures rotary plugs from steel, which provides them with corrosion resistance, high strength and hardness, the possibility of using them in various climatic conditions from steel grades st.20, 20Yuch, 09G2S in three versions:

  • with ledge;
  • with ledge-trough;
  • for oval section gasket.

Rotary plugs are tested for tensile strength, yield strength and impact strength, and mechanical properties are determined. The products comply with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union of the EAEU TR CU 032/2013, supplied with quality certificates.

The warranty period for swivel plugs is 24 months.

A plug is a type of pipeline fittings designed to close the end holes in pipelines and manufacture containers; it is installed in systems to completely or temporarily stop the movement of transported products. The plug allows you to preserve the pipe section for a long time or to carry out periodic maintenance and repair work. It is also used when transporting pipes to avoid internal damage.

The ring blanks plant produces flanged and interflange (rotary) types of plugs. The material for the manufacture of plugs can be carbon and low-alloy, as well as alloy and stainless steel.

Flange plugs repeat the shape, design and types of flange sealing surfaces with the difference that the plugs do not have a central through hole. They are used when working with media with temperatures from -70 to +600 ° C. The possibility of repeated use of pipe parts is allowed, mounting and dismantling them, if necessary, to transfer to another pipe section. ATK 24.200.02-09 is the main regulatory standard.

Due to the design, wafer (rotary) plugs consist of two discs - a blind one and with a hole in the center, connected by a bridge. Such parts are installed in pipelines that require periodic maintenance, for example, pressure testing. Elements are made according to ATK 26-18-5-93 standards.

The plugs are highly durable, resistant to temperature deformations and corrosive environments.
